Aside from toning your upper body which happens through cardio anyway, growing muscle on your upper body only works against you. Please do not heed this woman’s advice girls.

Focus on your glutes, hamstrings, calves, quads, and obliques (side of your abs). Exercises for these muscle groups: Squats, hip dips, deadlifts, lunges, hamstring machine, hip abductor machine, calve raise machine (standing calf raise if you have that machine), and leg press.

On top of this, do a lot of cardio, but eat enough calories and do not under eat to lose weight. Undereating to lose weight does not work. The more you workout/do cardio, the more you can eat! Eating is good. Focus on your lower body, focus on cardio, and try your best to eat healthy but don’t worry too much about it just make sure you eat ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope this helps girls!

I love working out with Jillian Michaels! I have most of her DVD’s.
I’m 54 as of yesterday and have been trying really hard to get into bodybuilding. (Sarah Connor being my motivation and end goal) however, being a cardio junkie since high school, (runner) It’s been a real challenge and I always quit and go back to cardio. Being I now have some lumbar and cervical spondylosis and arthritis, I can’t run without consequences and I hate that! Although those issues are most likely from being slightly underweight and running most of my life.
It’s been a couple years since your post. Where are you on your fitness journey, did you drop the 25 and did you find an equally intensive partner if so, how?

Feminine and Masculine. These words already imply the differences. If a woman has a V shape and no hips she has a masculine figure – manly figure. If I would like this then I would be homosexual, not hetero. The soft feminine figure implies kindness and loving traits. The big hips fertility… etc. Evolution has programmed this into the males head as this is good for a loving mother and good for his children… This is what males find generally attrative. We want loving.. kind soft hearted woman. These new traits dont imply any of that. I like the differences between men and woman and absolutely disagree with this article. Both sexes have their strenghts and weaknesses and the difference is what makes woman beautifu and men handsome.. If woman dont care what men think and men dont care what woman think where will we end up? Sad World. Nobody should be unhappy, and fitness is good to a certain extent, but extremes arent good. I do jot want to upset anybody, but I dont agree.
